- Night Zookeeper’s #GlobalReadersTheater: Why restrict a readers theater script to just your class?! With the help from everyone at Night Zookeeper, we have an amazing script and printable masks for kids to bring the Night Zoo to life! This project uses Flipgrid and in hopes scenes to be recorded on green screen, we will put together the finished products together using DoInk. Come checkout the fun that’s coming alive!

The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, provides scholarships for secondary school students from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend one academic year in the United States.
The goals of the YES Alumni Program are to expand on and practice what YES students have learned about volunteerism, community service and citizen responsibility during their exchange year.
YES alumni around the world have proven through years of projects that they are invested in promoting a more just and equal society, especially one that is free of gender bias. This webinar will discuss how men and women can create projects and programs that challenge gender stereotypes, and emphasize the role YES alumni can take in supporting and changing perceptions about women.
During the webinar, we will feature YES alumni projects and alumni themselves that are challenging the way that women are perceived within their own society to ultimately advance gender equality. We invite webinar participants to join the webinar with a YES alumni service project in mind to collect feedback on ways the project can be more gender inclusive. During the webinar, we also encourage YES alumni to consider the ways that they can best include gender forward policies in their alumni associations. The guest speaker is Angela Lagat, Chief Brand and Marketing lead at ZanaAfrica with over 12 years experience in developing and managing a range of global and local brands. Her current areas of focus is developing approaches to deliver products and information for adolescent girls and women in the areas of Menstrual health and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights in Kenya and East Africa. The YES alumna speaker will be Bosnia and Herzegovina alumna Sanda Hanjalic who launched an educational film project gathering stories of women who fight against prejudice and do things which are traditionally seen as “men’s” work.

The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, provides scholarships for secondary school students from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend one academic year in the United States.
The goals of the YES Alumni Program are to expand on and practice what YES students have learned about volunteerism, community service and citizen responsibility during their exchange year.
YES alumni around the world have proven through years of projects that they are invested in promoting a more just and equal society, especially one that is free of gender bias. This webinar will discuss how men and women can create projects and programs that challenge gender stereotypes, and emphasize the role YES alumni can take in supporting and changing perceptions about women.
During the webinar, we will feature YES alumni projects and alumni themselves that are challenging the way that women are perceived within their own society to ultimately advance gender equality. We invite webinar participants to join the webinar with a YES alumni service project in mind to collect feedback on ways the project can be more gender inclusive. During the webinar, we also encourage YES alumni to consider the ways that they can best include gender forward policies in their alumni associations. The guest speaker is Angela Lagat, Chief Brand and Marketing lead at ZanaAfrica with over 12 years experience in developing and managing a range of global and local brands. Her current areas of focus is developing approaches to deliver products and information for adolescent girls and women in the areas of Menstrual health and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights in Kenya and East Africa. The YES alumna speaker will be Bosnia and Herzegovina alumna Sanda Hanjalic who launched an educational film project gathering stories of women who fight against prejudice and do things which are traditionally seen as “men’s” work.

Project/event description:
In this asynchronous collaborative short term project and debate, my students and their families ,as well as global guests will be expressing themselves through a collaborative Google Slides Presentation. We will reflect on the importance of understanding global issues as a way of directing our personal and professional projects based on collaboration, tolerance, mutual respect and protection.
We chose a global issue that somehow affects us all: Loss of Agricultural Lands due to multifactorial causes and constituting a threat for the world .We will concentrate on causes and consequences as well as sustainable ways to prevent degradation, protect and conserve our soil as the living scenario all generations travel through life.
